WHY IS THIS NEEDED?
Supported decision-making is a model that provides people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) with supports and services necessary to make their own decisions.
HOW WILL THIS PROJECT HELP?
Through this 5-year grant, Hunter College will work directly with the Disability Rights New York (DRNY) PADD Program, to develop educational materials, pilots and evaluate supported decision models with individuals with IDD. DRNY is the State-designated Protection and Advocacy System for Individuals with IDD.
