WHY IS THIS NEEDED?
Supported decision-making is a model that provides people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (ID/DD) with supports and services necessary to make their own decisions.

HOW WILL THIS PROJECT HELP?
Through this 5-year grant, Hunter College will work directly with the Disability Rights New York (DRNY) PADD Program, to develop educational materials, pilots and evaluate supported decision models with individuals with ID/DD.  DRNY is the State-designated Protection and Advocacy System for Individuals with ID/DD.
