NYSDDPC Publication Funding
Untitled 2
Each fiscal year the DDPC makes available limited funding to in-state  organizations to support duplication and dissemination of the existing publications, videos, CD's, etc., related to the NYSDDPC's State Plan.

The specific objective of the funding is to assist individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families to have greater access to information, training, and other activities which will increase their ability to influence public policy.

This funding support and other activities are intended to strengthen the partnership between individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families and the State and federal service delivery systems.

The DDPC believes that to meet the needs of unserved and underserved citizens, while improving the quality of their lives, a restructuring of the service delivery systems is needed at both the federal and State levels. Old partnerships need to be strengthened and new ones formed. Individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families must become equal partners in this process. Working together we can realize the types of service that will promote the highest degree of independence, productivity and inclusion in the total community for all people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
